Job summary

NACBA in the Greater Boston area is seeking an Accounting Manager to partner with the Director and oversee corporate accounting, SEC and external financial reporting, and close processes.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in bio-pharma with CPA, strong GAAP skills, and advanced Excel; hybrid schedule with 3-4 days onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in bio-pharma.
• Public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings, including financial statements and footnotes.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Assist with ERP, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support quarterly earnings releases and external reporting.
• Monitor new regulations and SEC guidelines and assess accounting implications.
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, legal, and external auditors.
• Support special projects and analysis of non-routine transactions.

Accounting Manager

Location: Greater Boston area

Job Type: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)

Salary: $115-165k base + bonus + equity

Our client is a top bio-pharmaceutical company looking for an Accounting Manager to work with the Director and support the company's corporate accounting, SEC and external financial reporting activities, and close processes.

The ideal candidate has experience within a bio-pharmaceutical company and ideally a CPA (not required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with ERP, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support quarterly earnings releases and external reporting.
• Monitor new regulations and SEC guidelines and help assess accounting implications.
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, legal, and external auditors.

Key Qualifications:
