Job summary

Selby Jennings is partnering with a top bio-pharmaceutical company in Boston to recruit an Accounting Manager who will work with the Director to support corporate accounting, SEC and external financial reporting activities, and the close process. The ideal candidate has bio-pharmaceutical experience and ideally a CPA.

The role includes preparing 10-K and 10-Q filings, assisting with month-end close and reconciliations, ERP improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with accounting, FP&A,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive tax experience, and preferably a CPA.
• Public accounting experience and/or SEC reporting experience within a bio-pharmaceutical company.
• Strong financial reporting and accounting skills, including GAAP and SEC.
• Advanced Excel skills, and experience with ERP and SEC reporting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with ERP, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support quarterly earnings releases and external reporting.
• Monitor new regulations and SEC guidelines and help assess accounting implications.
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, legal, and external auditors.
• Support special projects and analysis of non-routine transactions.
