Job summary

Turn2Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager in Northern Virginia to lead revenue recognition, project accounting, and month-end close within a corporate accounting team. This hands-on leadership role oversees two staff, while also engaging in technical accounting research and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in accounting, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, ERP implementation experience, and a proven ability to optimize financial processes in a project-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong foundation in month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Experience with revenue recognition and contract/project-based accounting.
• Experience with construction or job-cost accounting preferred but not required.
• ERP implementation, system upgrade, or accounting automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting activities related to revenue, accounts receivable, cash, and active projects; ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Manage accounting throughout the lifecycle of active projects, including setup, ongoing accounting, reporting, and closeout.
• Support revenue recognition for long-term projects and customer contracts per U.S. GAAP.
• Perform technical accounting research on revenue recognition and advise management.
• Lead year-end and audit schedules, PBC requests, and revenue disclosures.
• Support consolidation and financial reporting requirements; maintain internal controls.
