Job summary

HRB is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Fairfax, VA area to lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and team leadership. The role requires solid technical accounting knowledge and the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment.

The successful candidate will manage GL operations, review journal entries, and drive process improvements while collaborating with leadership on audits and system optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong experience with core operational accounting functions required.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with large ERP systems strongly preferred, including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, Costpoint, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to lead in a hands-on environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
