Job description

Doral, FL | On-site |$90,000–$105,000 Base | Potential Future Performance Bonus

Take ownership. Bring structure. Make an impact.

A growing plastic surgery practice is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to own accounting operations, establish dependable processes, and build the financial foundation for its next stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO and Founder, you’ll bring accuracy to the books, visibility to business performance, and structure to the accounting function. This opportunity suits someone who knows the self-pay plastic surgery business, works independently, and can confidently move between detailed accounting work and conversations with leadership.

What you’ll own

Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, patient receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close.

Reconcile patient payments, procedure deposits, prepaid services, physical cash, third-party financing, and refunds across practice systems, payment processors, and bank accounts.

Establish controls for daily cash balancing, deposit verification, purchasing, payment approvals, payroll, and financial records.

Own payroll processing and reconciliation, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, deductions, and provider compensation.

Prepare accurate financial statements consistent with U.S. GAAP, maintain supporting account schedules, and explain significant variances.

Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections; help leadership understand profitability by provider, procedure, or service line.

Serve as the primary accounting contact for external CPAs, tax advisors, and auditors, coordinating records, supporting schedules, and deadlines.

Document procedures, improve accounting systems and integrations, and establish the structure for future accounting hires.

What you’ll bring

6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years managing accounting functions, processes, or teams.

Direct accounting experience within a plastic surgery practice or plastic surgery center is required.

Hands-on experience with self-pay patient transactions and physical cash controls, including balancing collections, verifying deposits, and resolving discrepancies.

Proven ability to independently own accounting operations, improve processes, and produce reliable financial reporting.

Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Hands‑on payroll processing experience and experience supporting external tax professionals and auditors.

Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting, payroll, and practice management systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field required.

CPA or another relevant professional accounting certification required; an active CPA license is strongly preferred.

Hospital, insurance-based healthcare, or cosmetic aesthetics experience alone does not meet the industry requirement. Direct plastic surgery accounting experience is essential.

Why this role

Work directly with the CEO and Founder, shape the accounting function, and see your work influence business decisions. As the practice scales, you’ll have the opportunity to build a team and grow into broader financial leadership.

Compensation: $90,000–$105,000 annual base salary, depending on relevant experience, with potential for a future performance-based bonus as the role and business grow.
