TX Recruiting is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a global cybersecurity firm, based in Plano, Texas. This is a hybrid role with remote flexibility part of the week.

You will own the general ledger, run month-end and year-end close, and lead the audit while building processes and controls for a fast-growing, multi-entity organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of accounting operations experience.
• Payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong grounding in general ledger, AR, AP, and reconciliation principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or a comparable accounting system.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms.
• Clear communication, sharp attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team. Set priorities, assign ownership, and ensure on-time results.
• Own month-end and year-end close, from the close calendar to variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany activity.
• Lead audit readiness and execution; coordinate requests and schedules.
• Maintain daily transactions as GAAP-compliant and well-documented.
• Strengthen policies, workflows, and internal controls as the business scales.
• Introduce automation, integrations, and reporting tools to speed up the close.
• Track and explain trends, variances, cash flow, and working capital.
• Partner with operations leaders to turn financial data into actionable decisions.

TX Recruiting is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a global cybersecurity firm building out its finance team in Plano, Texas.

This is a hybrid role. You'll be based in the Plano area, with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week.

It is also a hands-on leadership job rather than a purely supervisory one. You'll own the general ledger, run month-end and year-end close, and lead the audit - while building the processes and controls a fast-growing, multi-entity business needs.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop the accounting team. Set priorities, assign ownership, and hold the team to accurate, on-time results.
• Own month-end and year-end close, from the close calendar through variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and intercompany activity.
• Lead audit readiness and execution. Coordinate requests, prepare schedules, and resolve questions quickly.
• Keep daily transactions complete, accurate, well documented, and compliant with GAAP.
• Strengthen accounting policies, workflows, and internal controls as the business scales.
• Introduce automation, integrations, and reporting tools that cut manual effort and speed up the close.
• Track and explain the numbers that matter - trends, variances, cash flow, and working capital.
• Partner with operations leaders to turn financial data into decisions they can act on.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of accounting operations experience.
• Payroll processing experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong grounding in general ledger, AR, AP, and reconciliation principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
• Experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or a comparable accounting system.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms.
• Clear communication, sharp attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Comfort managing several priorities against firm deadlines.
• Ability to work independently when remote.

Nice to Have

• Cloud-based accounting and payroll platforms such as Sage or BambooHR.
• International payroll and corporate tax compliance experience.
• A multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
• Additional accounting coursework or certification.
