MV Transportation is seeking an Accounting Manager in Kent, WA to plan, direct and administer financial reviews, payroll, human resources, and purchase order reconciliation for a large multi-location environment.

The role requires supervising payroll staff, ensuring weekly payroll accuracy, coordinating with HR on hires and benefits, and guiding month-end close, policy development, and financial reporting to the General Manager and Regional Controller.

Qualifikationen

• B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in Excel.
• Transportation industry experience a plus.

Aufgaben

• Manage and supervise payroll staff and oversee weekly payroll.
• Interface with Human Resources on new hires, status changes, and benefits.
• Oversee accounts payable and prepare payroll/benefits adjustments.
• Develop and implement payroll and accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, inventory counts, and variance analyses.
• Provide financial support to General Manager and Regional Controller.
• Review and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
