Kforce, an NYC-based nonprofit community organization, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function. You will manage monthly financial reporting, month-end close, and ensure compliance with grant funding requirements.

You will prepare program budgets, provide variance analyses, supervise accounting staff, handle intercompany transactions, and support audits and tax filings. This role is full-time, on-site in New York City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years of staff management experience.
• Not-for-profit multi-entity accounting experience (NFP).

Kforce has an NFP Community Organization that is seeking an Accounting Manager in NYC.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of monthly financial reporting and month-end close, ensuring compliance to grant funding activities
• Accounting Manager will prepare program budgets and provide variance analysis reports
• Provide supporting documentation to the CPA firm for audit and tax filing compliance(s)
• Supervise and mentor corporate accounting staff
• Handle complex and hi-volume intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the payment and processing of AP
• Reconcile AR accounts and provide cash-flow reports to management on a daily/weekly basis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years of staff management experience
• Contract Billing and experience using PassPort
• Public/Private Accounting experience is highly desired
• NFP, Not For Profit- Multi-entity accounting experience

Job Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: 130000 - $150000
