Job summary

Responsibilities

Kforce has an NFP Community Organization that is seeking an Accounting Manager in NYC.

• Manage the preparation of monthly financial reporting & month-end close, ensuring compliance to grant funding activities
• Accounting Manager will prepare program budgets and provide variance analysis reports
• Provide supporting documentation to the CPA firm for audit and tax filing compliance(s)
• Supervise & mentor corporate accounting staff
• Handle complex and hi-volume intercompany transactions & reconciliations
• As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the payment & processing of AP
• Reconcile AR accounts and provide cash-flow reports to management on a daily/weekly basis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years of staff management experience
• Public/Private Accounting experience is highly desired
• NFP, Not For Profit- Multi-entity accounting experience

Pay & Benefits

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
