Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is a private equity-backed platform building a leading commercial access and security integration business in North America. We hire Accounting Managers on an ongoing basis to run accounting operations at our operating companies; this hands-on role covers monthly close, revenue recognition, job costing, and regulatory compliance.

You will work with ERP tools like QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and ServiceTitan; a CPA or public accounting background is preferred, with 5–8 years

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the monthly close.
• GAAP knowledge, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience closing and reporting across multiple entities, branches, or subsidiaries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to learn new ones.
• Strong Excel and data-modeling skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Close the monthly books and deliver accurate financials and flash reports.
• Manage project accounting including revenue recognition and job costing; oversee inventory where applicable.
• Prepare financial packages, variance analyses, and a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain budgets, KPIs, and regulatory compliance; strengthen internal controls.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; oversee payroll, AR, and AP where a team exists.
