Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations for a single operating company, including monthly close, reporting, controls, payroll oversight, and audit support.

As a hands-on, detail-focused role in a PE-backed environment, you’ll handle revenue recognition, job costing, and cash forecasting, partnering with the regional finance team across locations and systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and ServiceTitan.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on close ownership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience closing and reporting across multiple entities.
• Project-based accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close & reporting: run monthly close and improve speed and accuracy.
• Project accounting: manage revenue recognition and job costing for projects.
• Reporting & forecasting: prepare financial packages and 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain controls, budgets and KPIs with regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team.
• Lead and develop accounting staff where a team exists, including payroll, AR, and AP.
