Job summary

Xceleration in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Financial Controller with accounting operations, financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis. This role will lead the month-end close and help develop the Staff Accounting team as it grows.

The position requires a CPA or near-certification and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accruals, revenue recognition, and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries for accruals, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition.
• Own and build out the MEC package and lead MEC review as needed.
• Prepare reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for leadership.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and annual 1099 filings.
