Job summary

20/20 Onsite is seeking an Accounting Manager to strengthen our accounting function during a period of continued growth. Working with the Controller, you will own the close, improve controls, and drive reliable financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead day-to-day accounting operations, manage the Staff Accountant, and partner across teams to optimize billing, receivables, and processes while embracing AI tools to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close processes.
• Experience managing or mentoring accounting resources.
• Comfort operating in a high-growth, evolving, early-stage environment with AI tools to support daily tasks and projects.
• CPA a plus but not required.
• QuickBooks or similar accounting systems experience preferred.
• Bill.com experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Life sciences or clinical research industry experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce close calendars and deadlines.
• Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and well supported.
• Own the invoicing process end-to-end; review billing accuracy.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger.
• Develop staff accountant and provide hands-on mentorship.
• Assess resourcing needs and provide recommendations as the organization grows.
• Evaluate accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency, controls, and reliability.
• Partner with Controller on reporting enhancements and future systems initiatives.
