Job summary

CFS, a well-established aerospace and manufacturing organization with 65+ years of success, is seeking an Accounting Manager in Branford, CT. The role offers ownership of the accounting function, involvement with ERP optimization, and direct visibility to executive leadership including the VP of Finance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and CPA or an advanced degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP/AR, inventory, fixed assets, and compliance reporting.
• Manage audits and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and corporate policies.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while driving process improvements.
