Job summary

CFS in Circleville, Ohio area seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements across the finance function.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred, and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential, with a focus on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end close and audit processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial statement prep.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal policies.
• Mentor accounting staff and cultivate professional development.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Analyze results and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify process improvements.
• Partner with ops and business leaders to drive financial performance.
• Assist with special projects and system enhancements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
