American Lumber, a core brand of the American Trade Group, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager at our Bryan, TX corporate office. You will lead the accounting team, own the monthly close, and manage AR/AP, costing, and tax responsibilities to support growth.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership, and a focus on process improvement, accuracy, and development of staff. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, with visibility to senior

Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on accounting experience, including General Ledger and month-end close.
• Two or more years of leadership or supervision experience.
• Three or more years managing General Ledger operations in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Costing functions.
• Oversee monthly close process and journal entries.
• Maintain inventory accounting and fixed assets.
• Prepare state and federal tax filings and support audits.
• Improve accounting processes and mentor team.
• Assist with other accounting and operations duties as needed.
