Job summary

Zenith American Solutions is seeking a Manager of Accounting to lead a growing national team and to enhance internal control frameworks. The role oversees month-end close, AP/AR, journal entries, and reconciliations while coordinating audits and variance analyses.

The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, development of staff, and continuous process improvements within a high- accountability environment. Strong communication and data manipulation skills are essential as is adherence to GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a complex accounting unit.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP principles and standards.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office (including Excel), accounting software and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proficiency in best practices related to corporate accounting and leadership in high-accountability, fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees the daily operations of the Accounting Department including month and year-end processing.
• Accounts payable/receivable; reviews journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Develops and trains the Accountants and Corporate Shared Services.
• Performs monthly revenue review and accrual analysis.
• Assists in coordinating the company’s Annual Audit of financials.
• Assists and reviews explanations of expenditure variance analysis.
• Documents processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
• Implements improvements and efficiencies on a continuous basis.
• Assigns projects and directs staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Monitors and analyzes financial accounting data and creates ADHOC reports.
