Travelers is seeking a Manager, Accounting to ensure timely, accurate books and records for reporting to internal and external stakeholders. You will help maintain a strong control environment and oversee journal entries, payment requests, and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• CPA, CMA or comparable designation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on projects.
• Strong data analysis skills to interpret trends and provide insights.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review, and analyze complex financial data for variance, reporting, and trend interpretation.
• Review external financial statements including GAAP, SEC and STAT.
• Perform and review financial controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Prepare and review complex documentation to support audits with internal auditors.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Participate in projects involving complex analysis and financial regulatory changes.
• Review daily balancing and associated journals.
• Review journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
