Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Manager, Accounting to ensure timely and accurate books and records for reporting to internal and external parties while maintaining a strong control environment.

You will prepare, review, and approve journal entries, payments, and reconciliations, and provide guidance to a skilled team across partnerships within the business. Strong GAAP knowledge and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA/CMA designation preferred.
• 3+ years of finance, accounting, FP&A or related experience.
• Experience with accounting in the insurance/financial services industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and financial statement reviews.
• Perform and review financial controls in line with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
