Gerken Paving, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions across divisions. You will supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll while partnering with unit leadership on reporting, controls, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or shared services experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Provide leadership and oversight for division-wide payroll processing.
• Manage the daily operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, and Payroll.
• Review and analyze bank account reconciliations.
• Review and maintain general ledger reconciliations.
• Perform expenditure variance analysis.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with Business Unit Controllers on financial reporting and accounting matters.
• Partner with operations and internal departments to support business objectives.
• Ensure financial accuracy, consistency, and compliance across accounting processes.
