DFK Malta seeks an Accounting Manager who enjoys guiding people as much as the numbers. You will lead a team, oversee a portfolio of clients, and serve as the trusted advisor for both execution and strategy.

You will build strong client relationships, ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes within an international network. The role offers a hybrid work model after probation and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or equivalent.
• High proficiency in English; Maltese language is a plus.
• Based in Malta.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in an accounting environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team of accountants and trainees, providing coaching and feedback.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, allocating work to the team and ensuring deadlines and quality.
• Build long-term client relationships and understand client business needs.
• Provide technical oversight for IFRS/GAAP compliance and VAT/financial statements.
