Job summary

Kailera Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Accounting in Waltham, MA to lead the month-end close and GAAP-compliant financial reporting. The role manages G&A and R&D accruals, supports audits, and partners with FP&A and SEC reporting.

A strong leader with data-driven mindset will build scalable controls and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting, expertise with NetSuite/Coupa/FloQast, and a track record of developing teams in a fast-paced biotech

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing accounting professionals.
• Ability to partner with FP&A and SEC reporting teams.
• Experience with ERP systems and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting, G&A and R&D accruals.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support monthly close and external audits.
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
