Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Accounting in Franklin, TN to lead the Accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements.

The role oversees close processes, audits, and internal controls while partnering with cross-functional leaders to support sound decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, 7+ years in corporate accounting and a strong background in US GAAP, J-SOX, and automotive industry practices, with at least 2

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation or active progress toward CPA.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• 2+ years of people leadership or accounting management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Experience supporting external audits and maintaining internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience as a Manager of Corporate Accounting within the automotive industry.
• Experience in a large, complex corporate environment.
• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience with J-GAAP reporting and Japanese parent-company reporting requirements.
• Experience with J-SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Experience leading accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, or system implementations.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the Accounting team, providing coaching and oversight of day-to-day accounting operations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for accurate reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations to maintain GL integrity.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements per U.S. GAAP and J-GAAP.
• Ensure internal controls and J-SOX compliance with cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate external audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Research and apply accounting guidance for new transactions and initiatives.
• Partner with Finance and business leaders to provide accurate financial information.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and controls.
