Spectrum Search Group is assisting a rapidly growing client to hire an Accounting Manager. The role leads a small accounting team and owns major close processes, influencing financial reporting, ASC 350-40 software guidance, and internal controls across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, Big 4 preferred, CPA eligible and pursuing certification, with strong GAAP knowledge and cross‑functional communication. Salary includes a bonus and market-competitive compensation.

Spectrum Search has partnered with an extremely successful company looking to add a newly created Accounting Manager.

This is a high-impact role with exposure well beyond Accounting — not a heads-down, close-only position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small, high-performing accounting team
• Own key areas of the monthly and quarterly close process
• Support financial reporting and SEC filing requirements
• Research and apply technical accounting guidance
• Help drive process improvements, automation, and stronger internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization
• Support the adoption and implementation of new ASC 350-40 guidance related to internal-use software
• Guidance includes software development cost capitalization policies, processes, and controls
• Assist with external audits and other accounting initiatives

Required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience, with Big 4 strongly preferred
• CPA preferred; candidates should at least be CPA-eligible and actively pursuing certification
• Strong GAAP and technical accounting foundation
• Experience working in or with a publicly traded company
• Self-motivated with a desire to improve processes rather than simply maintain them
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across the business

Depending on skillset and experience, this role will pay $135k-$150k + bonus
