The role requires 4+ years nonprofit accounting, a BA in accounting or related field, and strong Excel/QuickBooks Online; collaboration with Finance Director is essential for annual budgeting and audits.

Qualifications

• Solid nonprofit accounting experience (4+ years).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Owns or supports the monthly close and reporting processes.
• Experience with grant accounting and GAAP nonprofit reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to translate financial data for non-finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and daily accounting operations.
• Track and report grants with budgets, deadlines, and variances.
• Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable and invoicing flow.
• Oversee outsourced bookkeeping and payroll partners.
• Maintain cost allocations across multiple offices and entities.
• Support audits, Form 990 prep, and annual budgeting/forecasting.
