California Environmental Voters is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close, grant tracking, and reporting across four California offices. The role oversees outsourced bookkeeping and payroll, partnering with the Finance Director to support program leads with accurate financial information.

You will manage two entities, ensure GAAP-compliant nonprofit reporting, and drive improvements to the bookkeeping function while maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Qualifikationen

• Solid nonprofit accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills.
• Able to translate financial information for non-finance colleagues.
• Experience with grant accounting and GAAP in nonprofit sector.

Aufgaben

• Own the monthly close and daily accounting operations.
• Track grants, budgets, reporting, and restricted funds.
• Oversee outsourced bookkeeping and payroll; transition to in-house staff.
• Prepare monthly budget-to-actuals and grant reports for funders.
• Support annual audits and Form 990 preparation.
