Job summary

Deepgram is seeking an Accounting Manager for GL & Close to lead the most complex parts of the monthly close. You will own high-judgment areas, rebuild processes around AI, and prepare for an external audit as the company scales toward public reporting.

Report to the CAO and work with a lean finance team to drive accuracy and timeliness. You will mentor the Senior Accountant, coordinate with offshore support, and design robust close controls to withstand SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with close ownership.
• Hands-on ERP experience with close tooling.

Responsibilities

• Push the close forward and own critical-path workstreams.
• Prepare complex areas: stock-based comp, leases, capitalized software, payroll, intercompany, currency.
• Review established areas: fixed assets, prepaids, cash, recurring accruals.
• Own the tie-out and the story: consolidation and close package; include month-over-month and budget-to-actual narratives.
• Design close controls that survive SOX and ensure audit readiness.
• Own ERP migration off Xero and build AI-enabled close processes.
• Lead and develop the accounting team as the company scales.
