Job summary

Quantum Space is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, strengthen financial reporting, and support government contracting within a publicly traded environment.

You will oversee the monthly close, revenue recognition, internal controls, and SEC disclosures while collaborating with program managers, FP&A, contracts, and executives to deliver robust financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including government contracting and publicly traded company experience.
• 2+ years of accounting management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX 404/internal controls requirements.
• Strong understanding of government contracting accounting, FAR, CAS, DCAA.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, estimates, and supporting schedules.
• Manage project accounting activities including contract setup, revenue recognition, billing, and labor distribution.
• Ensure accounting transactions follow U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Support SEC reporting, disclosures, and SOX compliance efforts.
• Coordinate with auditors and support audits and testing.
