Job summary

Gravitics, based in Seattle, WA, seeks a Senior Accountant to own the close process and build scalable accounting controls for rapid growth. You will ensure books are accurate and audit-ready under US GAAP and federal cost rules, paving the way for a SOX-ready environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, government contract accounting, overhead allocations, and collaboration with FP&A, Operations, and Legal to keep financial information precise and ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close ownership.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on ERP experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close for assigned GL areas.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support government contract accounting under FAR and CAS; DCAA readiness.
• Support revenue recognition under ASC 606 with program teams.
• Design internal controls over financial reporting and assist audits.
