Job summary

Wellby Financial is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The role manages daily operations, month-end close, and regulatory reporting, while guiding staff development and process improvements.

You will oversee reconciliations, financial statements, and collaboration with audits and regulatory bodies to ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and regulatory reports.
• Experience supervising or leading accounting staff and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Manage month-end close process and general ledger integrity.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Improve processes through automation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis support.
