The City Of Atlanta Careers is seeking an experienced accounting leader to supervise a group responsible for journal entries, general ledger, AR/AP, and revenue reconciliation in line with GAAP. The role focuses on building efficient processes, data integrity, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, staff development, and coordinating audits with external consultants. A track record in leadership and strong accounting knowledge is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Nine years of professional experience including management or project leadership.
• Five years of specific professional experience.
• Two years in a leadership role.

Responsabilités

• Oversee development, implementation and maintenance of accounting systems per GAAP.
• Design operational procedures to improve efficiency and audit readiness.
• Ensure data integrity, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
• Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and staff development.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

Master’s degree (preferred)
