AEG Fuels, a global aviation fuels and services company with offices in Miami and worldwide, seeks an Accounting Manager to own inventory accounting, drive data-driven insights, and optimize processes across finance. You will oversee perpetual inventory, gross profit integrity, and ERP governance, partnering with operations and trading teams to align physical activity with financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
• Minimum 5+ years progressive accounting experience with deep exposure to inventory accounting.
• Experience with perpetual inventory systems and gross profit analysis.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) including implementations or major enhancements.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with large datasets.
• Advanced Excel and BI/dat modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and reporting related to aviation fuel inventory, including perpetual systems, valuation, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Lead detailed gross profit analysis, variance investigation, and root-cause resolution tied to inventory movement, pricing, timing, and master data.
• Ensure inventory balances are complete, accurate, and aligned across terminals, locations, and counterparties.
• Partner with operations, supply, and trading to align physical inventory activity with financial results.
• Lead inventory-related components of month-end close, ensuring accuracy and audit trails.
• Design and maintain strong internal controls over inventory accounting and master data.
• Develop analytical models to support forecasting, margin trends, and operational efficiency.
• Lead ERP implementations and enhancements with focus on inventory modules and data governance.

Responsibilities:

• Ownallaccountingandfinancialreportingrelatedtoaviationfuelinventory,includingperpetualinventorysystems,valuation,reserves,andreconciliations.
• Leaddetailedgrossprofitanalysis,varianceinvestigation,androot-causeresolutiontiedtoinventorymovement,pricing,timing,andmasterdata.
• Ensureinventorybalancesarecomplete,accurate,andoperationallyalignedacrossterminals,locations,andcounterparties.
• Partnercloselywithoperations,supply,andtradingteamstoalignphysicalinventoryactivitywithfinancialresults.

Month-EndClose&FinancialIntegrity

• Leadinventory-relatedcomponentsofthemonth-endclose,ensuringaccuracy,timeliness,andcleanaudittrails.
• Reviewjournalentries,reconciliations,andsupportingschedulestiedtoinventory,COGS,andgrossprofit.
• Designandmaintainstronginternalcontrolsoverinventoryaccountingandmasterdata.

DataScience,Analytics&Modeling

• Developandenhanceanalyticalmodelstosupportinventoryforecasting,shrink/lossanalysis,margintrends,andoperationalefficiency.
• Leveragelargedatasetstoidentifyanomalies,trends,andopportunities,thentranslatethemintoactions.
• Improvereportingarchitecturetomovetheorganizationfromstaticreportstodecision-gradeanalytics.

ERPImplementation&ProcessImprovement

• PlayaleadroleinERPimplementationsandenhancements,withastrongfocusoninventorymodules,datagovernance,andsystemdesign.
