This role oversees general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will develop teams, drive process improvements, and support finance transformation initiatives focused on automation and ERP optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, cost accounting, inventory accounting.
• Experience leading accounting teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced MS Excel and ERP system experience.
• CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
• Manufacturing, distribution, multi-entity, or international business experience.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process automation, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Experience supporting audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections, fixed assets, Inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
• Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for accounting team members.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, controls, and documentation.
• Drive accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement across the accounting function.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including standard costing and variance analysis, and support inventory valuation.
• Oversee AP, AR, credit, collections, billing, and cash application processes; monitor aging collections and cash management.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve ERP utilization and reporting capabilities.
• Support external audits, tax reporting, lender reporting, and regulatory requirements; ensure GAAP compliance.
