Job summary

Lakeland Monroe Group in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting team. This role will oversee accounting operations for one of our manufacturing facilities, including payroll (ADP), AR/AP, GL, fixed assets, and week‑end/quarter/fiscal year tasks using PLEX Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS in accounting (or equivalent) with solid Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, and can collaborate across operations and finance to ensure accurate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field.
3+ years of related accounting experience.
Experience with Excel and financial reporting.
Experience with payroll processing and ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee weekly payroll processing and related schedules.
Perform weekly AR and AP inputs, check runs, wires, and transfers.
Manage General Ledger entries, month-end close, and depreciation calculations.
Maintain fixed asset schedules and track asset balances.
Prepare reports for audits and regulatory compliance.
Reconcile bank statements and payroll accounts; assist with year-end tasks.
