Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
• Manufacturing, distribution, multi-entity, or international business experience.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process automation, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Experience supporting audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR and collections, fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including standard costing and variance analysis; maintain product costing methodologies.
• Oversee working capital activities: AP, AR, credit, collections, billing, and cash application; monitor aging and cash management.
• Drive continuous improvement and ERP optimization; identify opportunities to automate processes and improve ERP utilization.
• Support audits, tax reporting, lender reporting, and regulatory requirements; strengthen internal controls and governance.

This position is responsible for overseeing general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and month‑end close activities across multiple entities.

• Accounting Leadership
  • Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for accounting team members.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Drive accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement across the accounting function.
• Financial Reporting & Month‑End Close
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide accurate financial information and analysis.
  • Improve close efficiency, accuracy, and reporting consistency.
• Cost & Inventory Accounting
  • Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including standard costing and variance analysis.
  • Maintain product costing methodologies and support inventory valuation processes.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales to improve gross margin visibility and financial performance.
  • Support inventory controls, cycle counts, physical inventories, and reserve analyses.
• Working Capital Management
  • Oversee AP, AR, credit, collections, billing, and cash application processes.
  • Monitor aging collections, disputes, deductions, and cash management activities.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators for transactional accounting functions.
  • Strengthen internal controls and fraud prevention processes.
• Continuous Improvement & ERP Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and eliminate manual work.
  • Partner with IT and business leaders to improve ERP utilisation and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Develop documentation, workflows, training materials, and process controls to support scalability and business continuity.
• Audit, Compliance & Controls
  • Support external audits, tax reporting, lender reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with US, GAAP, and company policies.
  • Evaluate control risks and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting governance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month‑end close, account reconciliations, cost accounting, inventory accounting.
• Experience leading accounting teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced MS Excel and ERP system experience.
• CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
• Manufacturing, distribution, multi‑entity, or international business experience.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process automation, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Experience supporting audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
