Job summary

Global Impact seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day internal controls, supervise the accounting staff, and ensure accurate reporting to clients and stakeholders. This full-time role requires 8–10 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including donor grant agreements and restricted grant accounting, with knowledge of QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and Excel.

Remote work is possible, with hybrid options in DC; occasional travel to the Washington, DC headquarters; salary range

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience.
• Experience with donor grant agreements and restricted grant accounting.
• Knowledge of banking cash management systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day internal controls and operations; lead accounting team.
• Review and issue timely client deliverables with analysis.
• Manage client cash and investment processes.
• Develop annual budget and cash forecasting system for clients.
• Manage audit and tax processes and reporting.
• Coach accounting staff and ensure high standards of service.
• Manage client relationships with stakeholders (legal, insurance, IT, banking committees & board).
• Supervise Senior Accountants.

Responsibilities

• O versee the day-to-day internal controls and operations, leading team members in thedepartment
• Review and issue timely client deliverables with analysis to ensure accurate information has been recorded and reported to clients andstakeholders
• Client cash and investment management
• Develop and manage annual budget and cash forecastingsystemforclients
• Manage audit & tax process for entities and complete reporting forentities on a timely basis
• Manage and coach theaccountingstaff; ensure the team deliversthehighest standard of departmental, cross-departmental, external teamwork,and customerservice
• Manage Fiscal Services client relationshipsandstakeholders (legal, insurance, IT, bankingcommittees & board members) on behalf ofclients
• Supervision of Senior Accountants

Qualifying for this role meansyou have abachelor’sdegreeinaccountingor related field and8-10 years ofprogressive and non-profitexperience inaccounting. You haveexperience with donor grant agreements, grant management, andrestricted grant accounting (including net asset tracking and indirect allocation accounting). You have a knowledge of banking cash management systems,QuickBooks O nline and/or NetSuite , Bill, MS Office includingin-depthuse of Excel.

This is a full-timeposition and maybe fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, DC for team meetings on occasion.Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in ourWashington, DCheadquarters office.Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $105,000-$120,000, depending on the experience you have.
