Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to own the general ledger, close processes, and controls as we scale. You will lead GL entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and collaborate with FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

You should have 5+ years in accounting with 3+ in corporate accounting, deep US GAAP knowledge, NetSuite experience, and the ability to work in-person in New York or San Francisco 3+ days/week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 3+ years in corporate accounting, GL, and close management.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP across core corporate accounting areas.
• Hands-on experience owning reconciliations and preparing monthly financial statements.
• Experience owning the close calendar directly; not just contributing to a close run by others.
• Public company or audit-ready private company experience (Big 4 or audit exposure).
• Based in San Francisco or New York; ability to work in-person 3+ days/week.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day GL entries and monthly financial statement prep as the entity grows.
• Own close areas: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, equity compensation.
• Lead month-end and year-end close and calendar, coordinating FP&A and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and review monthly statements and flux analyses for leadership.
• Identify and automate manual close steps to improve accuracy and speed.
