Job summary

Accounting Manager in Medford, OR is a hands-on leadership role within a growing construction company. You will own the accounting function, manage a small team, and partner with the CEO on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.

Responsibilities include month-end close, WIP/project profitability, payroll oversight, intercompany accounting, and the transition from Sage 300 to Acumatica. On-site role with opportunity for process improvements using Asana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring staff early in their careers.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience owning full month-end close with reconciled balance sheets.
• Construction accounting experience (WIP, job costing, project forecasting).
• Payroll oversight including union and multi-site payroll.
• Intercompany accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Familiarity with Sage 300 and moving to Acumatica ERP.
• Process-oriented with ability to use Asana to run a team.
• Ability to clearly communicate financials to CEO.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and ensure balance sheet accounts reconcile.
• Prepare and maintain WIP schedules and project profitability projections.
• Oversee payroll, including union payroll and multi-site payroll.
• Manage intercompany transactions.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the CEO.
• Manage cash flow and provide visibility to leadership.
• Develop and coach a team of three and grow talent.
• Document and improve accounting processes and use Asana to stay organized.
• Support the transition from Sage 300 to Acumatica.
