Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Manage daily cash flow, deposits, and receivable collections.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and expense analysis.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Generate and analyze job costing reports for construction projects and inventory.

Job description

Finishing Technologies, a commercial finishing equipment distributor and turnkey equipment systems installation provider is hiring an Accounting Manager in Portland, OR.

OPPORTUNITY:

As our Accounting Manager, you will deliver financial reporting and analysis that will provide the leadership team with educated financial data. Your hands-on understanding of the closing cycle, cost accounting, cash management, and other routine accounting functions will be essential to your success. Reporting to the President, you will manage job costing and inventory with expert cash flow eyes which will bring significant value to our operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
• Manage daily cash flow, deposits, and receivable collections.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing process including account reconciliation and operating expense analysis.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements according to GAAP.
• Generate and analyze job costing reports for construction projects for inventory, percentage of completion and sales tax.
• Manage the annual budget process and coordinate financial expectations.
• Manage HR, biweekly payroll with Paylocity, and 401(k) compliance responsibilities.
• Assist CPA firm with yearly review and tax return preparation.
• Active member of our management team.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• 3+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller with job costing and cash management knowledge.
• BS in Accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and capable of generating financial statements according to GAAP.
• QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise experience preferred or other like-kind accounting software
