Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional to supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, provide internal financial reporting, and lead a team across GL, payroll, and cash disbursement functions.

You will analyze complex accounts, ensure SOX compliance, and propose process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with supervisory experience in high-volume environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• SOX compliance knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams through change and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and related reporting.
• Perform complex account reconciliations and analyses.
• Direct general ledger, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and capital expenditure accounting.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and assist auditors with reviews and audits.
• Maintain internal control environment and accounting policies.
