Job summary

Neumont University in Salt Lake City is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations and close processes in a small, mission-driven environment.

You will own month-end close, prepare journal entries, manage budgets, and produce financial reports while enhancing controls and systems. This role collaborates with the CFO and cross-functional teams to support student and staff opportunities.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of a full monthly close and accurate financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; analyze variances with commentary.
• Support annual audit and ensure internal controls are effective.
