Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
• Experience leading accounting staff with competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in progressive accounting roles; nonprofit/government exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Direct month-end and year-end close to ensure accurate results.
• Review complex entries, reconciliations, analyses, and documentation.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance leadership on priorities and process improvements.
• Oversee audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance readiness.
• Guide cross-functional teams on accounting guidance for initiatives.
• Identify and resolve moderately complex accounting issues with sound judgment.
• Drive system enhancements and reporting improvements.
