Columbia Bank in Spokane, WA is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions including fixed assets, lease accounting, prepaid expenses, and regulatory reporting. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support SOX compliance across the ledger and related systems.

Formación

• 5-7 years senior accounting/finance experience or equivalent education/experience.
• 2-4 years in a supervisory role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial institution policies, internal controls and general ledger.
• Ability to interpret authoritative guidance for bank accounting.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multiple assignments.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills; proficient with Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee preparation of schedules and regulatory reports for SEC, IRS, FDIC and internal audiences.
• Develop and maintain policies and internal controls for ledger integrity.
• Provide timely monthly financial reporting and ad hoc analyses for senior management.
• Support planning acquisitions, expansions, systems conversions and cross‑department projects.
• Lead staff, supervise units, and guide workflows; serve as project lead as directed.
• Research new guidance and assess impact on accounting. Travel may be required.
