Job summary

Columbia Bank in Lakewood, WA is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee the full cycle of accounts payable operations and reimbursement processes, ensure accuracy and compliance, and drive timely payment execution across a dispersed accounting team.

You will lead staff, manage controls, provide monthly financial reporting, support system conversions and acquisitions, hire and develop talent, and ensure adherence to US GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of senior level accounting/finance related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience in accounting/finance.
• Advanced knowledge of financial institution policies, internal controls, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle of accounts payable operations and reimbursement processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
• Lead dispersed accounting team to drive operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Provide accurate and timely monthly financial and management reporting.
