Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Accounting Manager to own core accounting operations in a fast-growing IT environment. This remote, US-based role focuses on the monthly close, financial accuracy, and scalable processes, reporting to the Controller.

You will lead P2P, T&E, payroll accounting, and policy development while partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and automate workflows using modern tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and Big 4 preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with financial data.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research accounting questions.
• Experience with AI-enabled automation and modern accounting tools.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
• Discrepancy investigation and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including procure-to-pay (P2P), travel and expense (T&E), and payroll accounting.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations of results.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, partnering with the Controller on complex transactions.
• Build and improve accounting processes and internal controls as the business scales.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive implementation for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
• Support cross-functional teams with guidance and effective communication on operational issues.

For our client, we are seeking a Accounting Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will own core accounting operations in a fast-growing technology environment, with a strong emphasis on monthly close, financial accuracy, and scalable process design. The Accounting Manager will partner closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to strengthen controls, improve reporting, and support the business as it grows. This position is well suited for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building structure from the ground up, and uses modern tools to drive efficiency.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually
