Golden State Communications, Inc. in San Jose is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and hands-on oversee key accounting functions, including AR, Billing, AP, and month-end close.

You will supervise a team of three, work with the Controller, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements. The role requires GAAP expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise the Accounts Receivable and Billing team.
• Oversee customer billing, collections, and Accounts Receivable.
• Provide oversight of Accounts Payable activities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor AR aging and improve collections and DSO.
• Serve as a key internal resource for NetSuite ERP.
• Support accounting for Rental Series billing processes.
• Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
• Partner with Sales, Rental, Service, and Operations to resolve accounting and billing issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, reporting, and special projects.
• Provide backup support to the Controller as needed.
