Job summary

PetSafe Brands, headquartered in Knoxville, TN, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead US and international AR/AP and support the General Ledger team. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial statement preparation, journal entries, and coordinating audits to ensure GAAP compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, a CPA is preferred, and at least 5 years of accounting experience with 2 years in management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Support General Ledger and FP&A teams with month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and complex transactions.
• Lead accounting research on complex reporting issues; coordinate audits.
• Drive process improvements for accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
• Mentor and manage accounting professionals; set objectives and reviews.
• Collaborate with leadership to align finance with goals.
