Job summary

PetSafe Brands, a Knoxville-based world leader in pet products, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead US and international AR/AP. You will support the General Ledger team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements across the accounting function.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in management, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA preferred; hybrid work arrangements may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including 2+ years in management.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and compliance experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Support General Ledger and FP&A with month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations and complex transactions.
• Lead accounting research on complex reporting issues and evolving standards.
• Participate in variance analysis and reporting review.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit and compliance audits.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Coach and manage accounting professionals; set objectives and develop talent.
• Collaborate with leadership to align financial activities with company goals.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
