Job summary

PetSafe Brands, headquartered in Knoxville, TN, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee US and international AR and AP functions and to support the General Ledger team. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, leadership, and analytical skills to ensure timely financial reporting.

You will lead the AR/AP teams, drive month-end close with the GL/FP&A groups, and coordinate with external auditors while pursuing process improvements and staff development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA designation is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Support General Ledger and FP&A with month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and complex transactions.
• Lead accounting research on complex financial reporting issues.
• Participate in variance analysis and audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and leadership during audits.
• Drive process improvements and staff development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance leadership.
