This role partners with FP&A, tax, and internal audit to deliver audit-ready numbers for fundraising and regulatory needs, while ensuring accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience.
• CPA license; Bachelor's degree required.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and close management tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and quarter-end close process with accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements under US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Support SOX 404 compliance and remediation of deficiencies.
• Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews for SEC reporting purposes.
• Review complex accounting issues (revenue arrangements, stock-based compensation, capitalized software) and prepare position papers.
• Manage and develop a small team (2-3 staff) and set priorities.
• Drive close automation and process improvements using tools like NetSuite, NetSuite, or similar.

The Accounting Manager owns the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting for a growing technology business operating under US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements. This role matters because accurate, audit-ready financials are the foundation for fundraising, regulatory compliance, and executive decision-making. The Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and partners closely with FP&A, tax, and internal audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis in NetSuite
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting
• Support SOX 404 compliance by documenting key controls, performing control testing, and remediating deficiencies identified by internal or external audit
• Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews, managing PBC deliverables and auditor requests for SEC reporting purposes
• Review complex accounting issues — revenue arrangements, stock-based compensation, capitalized software — and prepare technical memos with position papers
• Manage and develop a team of 2-3 staff and senior accountants, setting priorities and reviewing work product
• Drive process automation and close acceleration initiatives, including workflow tooling (BlackLine, FloQast, or similar)

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience, with Big 4 or national firm background strongly preferred
• Active CPA license; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting requirements (10-K/10-Q familiarity a plus)
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and close management tools
• Proven ability to lead a close calendar and manage a small team under deadline pressure
• Strong Excel skills and comfort analyzing large datasets for reconciliation and flux analysis
• Bonus: SEC registrant or SaaS industry experience; familiarity with equity administration (Carta) or technical accounting research platforms
